Our First Garden

We tried our hand at growing a garden this year and it has done really well. We planted peas, carrots, cauliflower, cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, corn, zucchini and pumpkins.

First Day of School

Tabi could not contain herself! She was sooo excited for her first day of kindergarten. She started the same day as Ben, Justin & Liz. Caleb started the next day. See how happy he was?

Hyrum Dam

We had a great time at Hyrum Dam with Grammy. It was a very hot day but the water was very cold.

Martin Harris Pageant

We were able to go to the Martin Harris Pageant in Clarkston, UT.

Justin turns 8.

While we were in OR with Bob's parents and his sister and family, Justin turned 8. He opened his scriptures before going to church. Got sung to there then Jo & Brooks made an incredible meal and got Justin a transformer cake. He also had a cake with Grandma & Grandpa Roundy and then a late night with 2 friends.

Tacoma, WA

We were able to visit Bob's Aunt Marlene & Uncle Larry. It was soo great to see them.

Seattle, WA

We drove to Bremerton, WA to take the kids on a ferry ride to Seattle. While we waited we walked around the area seeing lots of pretty boats and wishing we had one. sigh...

Oregon Beach

We went down the coast back to the Whale watching center and we were all able to see some whales. Woo Hoo! It was slightly cold day, but it didn't stop the kids from getting in the water at Pacific City Beach. We watched all the Dory fishing boats run up onto the beach at the end of their work day. The kids with Joanne & Brooks hike this huge sand dune.

Bowling

We took Lizzie, Justin, Ben, Tabi and our niece Katelyn bowling. They had a blast. Caleb was on a ride along with Brooks (his uncle) who is a Fireman. Caleb loved it.

OSMI

We took the kids to Oregon Science Museum. A great day had by all except when mom & dad were trying to find a McDonalds and we drove around Portland for 25 min. before we found one. Grrr... They are everywhere except that day they were no where.

Trip to Oregon

We tried to see some whales, but the fog was too thick.
We saw harbor seals and checked out the tide pools at Yaquina Head Lighthouse.

We had a great trip to Oregon. We stayed with Bob's family in McMinnville, about an hour south west of Portland. The kids did fantastic with traveling. We only stopped twice on the way and the way back.

This award is given to an individual who is serving or has served as an administrator or faculty member in one or more of the USU Regional Campuses and Distance Education programs in recognition of outstanding service and whose efforts have positively impacted Regional Campuses and Distance Education.

Dr. Robert Wagner

Associate Vice Provost & Executive Director USU Regional Campuses & Distance Education, Logan.

Dr. Robert Wagner has led the Distance Education unit for Regional Campuses and Distance Education for two years. During that time, he has provided outstanding leadership in developing web-based courses and developing programs for delivery via Interactive Broadcast. Robert helped develop the BS in Accounting, the MS in Human Resources, and BS degrees in History and English. He is a dynamic representative for USU/RCDE in its interactions with the Utah Education Network, Concurrent Education Task Force, and USU departments and Colleges. Robert is known for organizational abilities, attention to detail, and a “can do” attitude.

Dr. Wagner started with RCDE as assistant vice provost in 2007 and has continued to move up within the RCDE system. He has recently been appointed to associate vice provost and executive director of distance education. Prior to coming to Logan, he earned his Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Albany. While attending, he also served as special assistant to President Kermit Hall, aiding in higher education and economic development and legislative agendas. Robert earned his Bachelor’s degree from BYU and has an MPA from the University of Utah. His published works include one co-authored with former USU President Hall. Dr. Wagner and his wife Tracy have five beautiful children.
