Happy Birthday G & G Roundy!

My mom and Warren have the same birthday, May 13th. We had them over for BBQ steak & Brauts, corn on the cob, and some yummy oven roasted red potatoes (recipe from bil Brooks). They each wanted chocolate cake. My mom wanted chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and Warren wanted german chocolate.

Allie

The monday night Aggie died, our great friend "Aunt Becca" (as Tabi calls her) picked up a new puppy and was excited to have the kids help name her. We arranged for her to come to dinner Tuesday and bring her puppy. I knew everyone would be ok with it except Lizzie and they kids were happy to see her and decided that Mercedes Boots was a great name as she looks like she has tan boots on every foot. We call her Sadie. Rebecca said that Sadie had a brother and a sister still available if we wanted. Well....after some discussion and crying, we called the lady and found out that she still had a girl left. I made arrangements for Lizzie and I to go see her thursday after school. Lizzie decided that she was okay with it and so we arranged to pick up our new puppy on saturday after soccer. Meet our Doxle (a Beagle & Duchshund mix) Allie Hope (Hope, because Lizzie felt hope after loosing Aggie). Yes, I'm nuts!

This is Allie & Sadie playing. The get at least one play date a week when Rebecca comes for dinner. They love it. (sorry couldn't get the picture to turn)

Soccer

Justin & Tabi played soccer this spring. I coached Tabi's team. The team always played better when Caleb was there to help coach them. He is such a natural with the kids.

Tabi scored 3 goals one game. She is very aggressive and loves to play.

Justin one game scored 3 goals and when he played goalie he had some great saves. One parent asked me if he was going to play competition soccer this fall and if so would he play on this guy's team if he decides to put one together. Justin thought that was cool. Already being recruited.

Justin Won!

We have finally broken the Wagner Family curse! Justin came in 2nd in the pinewood derby this year. His car actually beat the other car twice but in the final race his car came in 2nd. We'll take it! Yea!

North Valley Youth Symphony

Caleb played with the Youth Symphony in May. He had to quickly learn the music for both the Jr. & Sr. Symphonies. He only had 3 practices before the concert. They were incredible to listen to. I am trying to convince him to play with them next year but he is worried about conflict time with HS sports. Lizzie is looking forward to playing with the Jr. Symphony. Doesn't the director, Mr. Dunn remind you of my dad (Tracy's). He even has the same mannerisms. Too weird!

Flat KK

My niece is in first grade and they read the book Flat Stanley. The kids colored pictures of themselves and mailed them to someone to have an adventure. KK sent her's to Lizzie. Flat KK got to go to school with Lizzie and hang out then Liz wrote about it and sent flat KK back. Cute idea.

Tabitha's 6th Birthday

My Baby turned 6 on April 24th! Where has all the time gone?

She wanted an iCarly cake this year.

She asked for a DS and is using her birthday money to buy some fun games.

She also got an exercise ball from G & G Roundy to play on.

Aggie was banished behind the couch as she loved to open presents and thinks all presents are hers.

Science Fair

Ben and Justin wanted to participate in the school science fair this year so lucky mom got to help them put it together during spring break. We had their friends over the first day of spring break and we did it all. (mean mom made them choose something they could do in one day).

Justin did different types of liquid mixed with jello to see if it would still set.

Ben chose to see what types of things would protect a candy cane being dropped the best. (mom was unwilling to deal with an egg mess).

The Whole World is Singing

Ben got to participate in a choirfest directed by the former Mormon Tabernacle Choir director, Craig Jessop in April. He had a great time!

Spring Dance Recital

The girls had a great dance recital. The theme was High School Musical and had music from all three movies. It was wonderful. My favorite number was the one the girls danced together.

Solo and Ensemble Night

In April, Ben and a friend co wrote a song for solo and ensemble night called "Freakin' Mega Super Awesome." It turned out really great. If I had the skills I would put some of the video on but I don't. Sorry.

Aggie Gone

Tonight our beloved Aggie left this world. She loved to open presents, go for walks, eat, play in the snow, swim in any water she could find, take off out the door for "walk abouts" 'til she decided to come home, chew squeaky toys to death, shed all over your church clothes, give kisses and "love" paws, play fetch, being with her kids, eat some more, sleep, talk like Chewbacca, and just greet and be with people.

Bob and I had just gotten back from a walk with her and as she came in the door she started to seizure. She has had seizures for over a year and did have one that lasted over 3 hours in the fall. She started limping after that episode. The seizure tonight lasted over an hour. Bob and Caleb took her to the Vet. as she was doing things in this episode that she hasn't done before. When they got there she was still seizuring. The Vet gave her something to help her relax and try to stop the seizures, but it didn't work and so we had to put her down. It has and I'm sure it will be for the next few weeks, pretty tough. The kids are taking it really hard. We will miss her.
